Bob Dorfman and Hal Davis Announced the Formation of Economic Development Incentives Inc. to Serve Real Estate Owners who are Eligible MA Brownfields Tax Credits

Boston, MA: Bob Dorfman, president of Dorfman Capital (“DORFMAN”) and Hal Davis, president of New England Economic Development, Inc. (“NEED”) and an attorney who serves in an Of Counsel capacity with the Boston law firm of Davis, Malm & DAgostine, PC, announced the formation as of January 1, 2013 of Economic Development Incentives Inc.

Economic Development Incentives Inc. is a joint venture between Dorfman Capital (“DORFMAN”) and New England Economic Development (“NEED”) established to serve real estate owners who develop brownfield sites and are eligible MA Brownfields Tax Credits. Together since 2009 DORFMAN and NEED have qualified over 70 projects for MA Brownfields Tax Credits representing over $ 70 million of tax credits originated and sold.

The principals of Economic Development Incentives Inc. are Bob Dorfman and Hal Davis. They bring a unique blend of legal, tax credit finance and economic development experience having structured and raised several billion dollars of financing.

Bob Dorfman, CEO of Economic Development Incentives Inc. stated, “Hal Davis and I identified this market niche in 2009 because the MA Brownfields Tax Credit program was underutilized and not understood by potential users. The Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) is pleased to announce its 2013 National Board of Directors. Kay Olin, President, Local Focus Radio, will serve as the National Chair. The 2013 Board will convene on January 25 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, for its first Board meeting and then will participate in judging the 2013 Gracie Awards on January 26 and 27.

The Alliance for Women in Media has an ambitious agenda ahead of us. From our Symposium Series to the Gracie Awards, which will be hosted on both coasts for the first time, AWM is actively engaging, recognizing and promoting women in media, said Olin. Advanced Mediator Training Course Announced to Take Place February 5th – 8th, 2013

Mediation.com in partnership with Amicus Mediation and Arbitration Group, will be offering a 2 day- Advanced Mediator Training course for mediators looking to elevate their current skill set or who wish to broaden their ability to mediate larger, more complex cases. Initial trainings are scheduled for New York and Connecticut in February but will be offered in other states, based on interest, in the coming year.

Amicus Mediation & Arbitration Group is a national ADR provider who works with insurers and law firms, assisting them in the development and administration of their internal mediation programs. As their business continues to expand they are hoping to identify mediators with an ability to handle more complex, higher value cases.
